ROPS Re-Certification Frequently Asked Questions
If any changes or modifications (e.g. radios, fire extinguishers, lights etc.) are made to the ROPS without the manufacturer's approval, there’s a good chance that the warranty has been voided. Any gouge, dent, or ding, no matter the degree of severity, will also void the warranty.
Not all damaged cabs can be saved and re-certified. There is a line that we won't cross. That said, often times ROPS are de-certified for structural implications that CAN be restored. When this is the case, we will go to great lengths to ensure that the repair process is both safe and effective. Our measures include, but are not limited to:
- Detailed repair instructions from our P.E.
- Keeping our ROPS Inspector on-site for the entirety of the repair
- In-depth reviews and documentation from our Inspector and P.E.
- Confirmation of structural restoration from our P.E.
Safety is one of our main priorities here at CRA. We won’t take on a job that we don’t think is safe. If your ROPS is re-certified by us, you can rest assured knowing that the structural integrity has been restored to OEM specifications.
A metal placard of compliance will be sent out to the address of your choice and will arrive 1-3 days after the invoice is paid. Once the repair has concluded and the engineer has approved of the work, the placard can be placed anywhere on the cab. Once this step is complete, the machine is ready to work once again!

Yes! All ROPS are in play.
Our re-certification process is faster and more cost-effective than buying a new cab. Not only that, but you'll also be preventing the waste of time, labor, and material that occurs when a cab is unnecessarily replaced.
